Graphic Card's Problem

Recently, I sent my laptop for repair, don't know what's hell going on with it. Last 2 weeks, it couldn't be switched on, there was power running but the display was blank. I found one guy who repairs laptop in Mudah.com, contacted him and sent it to him. Cost me rm320 for the display, he told me it was the graphic card chip problem.
okay then fine

after two weeks, I encountered another problem. When I enable the Graphic Card, and I turn it on, I can't get into the windows, it just hangs there after it starts up.
However, when i DISABLE the Graphic Card, like shown in the attached photo, everything works well and windows is running perfectly. So I assumed it's the Graphic Card problem.
The bad is, when I'm trying to watch movie or play games, the graphic is pissing off, and it's very lag.

will send back to that guy again, and thinking of getting a new laptop.

Readers, sorry for not updating the blog. Just some update here to keep the blog alive. I've been abandoned it for like 10days.

Life is getting harder all thanks to the bloody exam and tight timetable.
Have not enough time to finish up all the chapters and I have just screwed up my Finance and Marketing Management paper. Kinda worry that I might get my ass back on these classes next sem if they failed to pass.

Another 4 papers on 6 Dec onwards till 13 Dec and I'm not prepared yet. wtf.
Many thanks to the flood happened in Perlis and Kedah, which caused the postponed for our final exam. Otherwise, I should have finished my last paper on 27 Dec.

The night was awesome, the surprises enlighten the night. Thanks Darl for everything she had done, and all the preparation you have made. Not forgetting that bunch of buddies who came for the surprise party again.
Had our wonderful night at Yeng Keng Hotel, the place where the part supposed to held there. However, Darl managed to fulfil my wish and organized a pre-birthday celebration there. Thank you for all your hard works baby <3

She first told me that we're going other place for dinner, but she closed my eyes and brought me to Yeng Keng

She pakat with the Hotel manager, Jacky, earlier and ready to prank me. First was the birthday balloon, with all our photos hanging there and the menu on the photos. Next, she invited my buddies and threw me a surprise.

I found this kitten on monday, and it was meowing at the second floor which I feel very irritating, I thought it was a cat. Who knows, it's just a tiny kitten which just born.So I just leave it.

The second day, the kitten has been moved down to first floor, and I heard it meows again at night, guess it must be craving for food. But I had nothing left for it to eat. Get frustrated with the noise.
After one hour, the sound stopped. Around 11pm, I went out from my room and I saw it's body lying bloodily on the floor.

3rd day in Malacca

Yeah this is the 3rd day in the town, and also the last day for us. Early in the morning, we walked the Jonker St again, to buy some souvenir and also some local food. We came across this Geographer Cafe, Darl wanted to go and we actually came to here the night before, but the shop closed pretty early, we ended up in a 24hrs bistro named K-5. All thanks to my great job which delayed out time on the second night. Sorry, my bad :(

No Signal, No Network, No Access to Contact

This afternoon when I wanted to make a call and found I couldn't get into my contacts list, I'd press select and nothing would happen. Then, on my "recent calls" list all my contacts' names had been replaced with an "e" with an acute accent. Therefore, I deleted all my call list entries. Then, I realised that I lost signal, so took the battery out and replaced it, which didn't help. I knew I'm in a big trouble of it. I tried to turn off the device and removed the battery which I always do, placed it back and switch it on again. No changes at all. This has started to get me pissed. I took the battery out and exchange my primary sim card to my K800i (I have problem with this phone too, the sound doesn't work, no ringing tone). I started to get worried as that W595 is not my phone, it belongs to my Gf although it was previously water damaged and already changed the board.

I get so frustrated that every electronic devices which come across my hand will be broken for no reason, this is what my Gf always say about me. We have encountered an accident in the hotel of Malacca where her straightener suddenly blow off.

I tried google about it, and no one seems to be helpful to me. I knew that it would probably be the software problem and I have tried several times to update the software, due to the W595 is having the latest software so it cant be done.

when I saw the reply, it really freak me out. What the heck with "would be barred either Found or Stolen", this is an original phone from Sony Ericsson, I never found or stole it from somewhere.

Fortunately, at last the helpful Google direct me to some pages which teaches me to debrand the phone.

After our Satay Celup dinner at Capitol, we went for night shooting again. We wanted to get some entertainment but who knows all the shops closed pretty early at that area because it's weekdays. We have been told that during Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, all the shops will operate until 12am.

Since we have nothing better to do, let's take some shoot of this historical and pretty city of Malacca and keep all the memories alive with us:)

Satay Celup @ Malacca

Yeah it's our dinner time. We have heard about Satay Celup is a must eat food in Malacca, Satay Celup is also known as Satay Steamboat, is something like our LOKLOK, just that they use satay sauce as the soup.
So we first came to Ban Lee Siang Satay Celup at Jalan Ong Kim Wee. There isn't much people maybe it's still early. They usually start their business from 5.30pm until 12.00am.

they will place all the food on your table and you decide which to put into it.

Most of the meat and vegetable sticks cost RM0.50 while the seafood ones (marked with color) were RM0.60.

At around 11pm, we decided to go for another Satay Celup Restaurant - Capitol Satay, situated at Lorong Bukit Cina. I've been google-ing about which of these two are the best, and many ppl recommended Capitol. But, you never try you never know. So we drove to Capitol Satay.
Wehave passed by this shop several times when I was driving back from Dataran Pahlawan to Baba House, and when everytime we passed by, we will definitely see a long queue in front of the shop waiting to be seated.

Out of my expectation, the Satay Celup here isn't as nice as Ban Lee Siang. The Satay Sauce has no taste, and the food here looks fresh in fact, it was like leaving there for days already. Although there was a lot of artists came here before, I strongly recommend you guys to go for Ban Lee Siang.
Another thing is, the food here is pricy, they charge 80cents per stick.
We ate about 4sticks plus one Bread and one coconut jelly, it was already 15 bucks where we ate about 10sticks plus two bread in Ban Lee Hiang it was around 12 bucks only.

In front of St. Christ Church, you may see there's a bunch of colorful trishaws. There was one uncle asking whether we wanna take a ride or not. They actually have a standard charge of RM40 for one hour. We just took a ride for 30mins at Jonker St area.

Located strategically in the center of the Dutch Square, this fountain was built to commemorate Queen Victoria. It’s bronze; not very huge nor high but it does stand out as it’s the only fountain in the Square. In front (if you cross the road) is the only windmill of Malacca; albeit a fake one that doesn’t turn. It’s wholly built of cement and you can’t go in.

After our lunch at Jonker 88, we went for a walk again. We actually walked to the Maritime Museum but it was closed already, so we just stopped at St. Christ Church and catch some photos.

After we lepak at Bukit Cina, and getting hungry, we head back to the town area to hunt for food. We've been turning around the area to get the best local food, and we decided to stop at this restaurant - the Jonker 88. The sell all the local baba nyonya foods.

the local Laksa, taste like Penang "hokkien mee" mixed with "curry mee" plus "laksa". It's very spicy but nice to try.

We actually have not enough time to try all the local food here, gonna come for our next roadtrip.

Anyway, we're kinda disappointed with the hawker food here, the food quality is really out. Perhaps, we've set a benchmark on the food quality due to we're Penangite and we expect more from FOODS. We went to one hawker stall at night, because all the restaurants and shops have closed. Ordered just normal Tomyam noodles and Fried Noodles, but they really disappoint us with the tasteless food provided. It sounds pathetic to say so, but seriously the food, especially hawker foods are at low quality. Or maybe it's only that particular hawker food. Anyhow, should I blame myself as a Penangite and expect too much from food? I guess no right, I should feel proud of my tongue.

Hang Li Poh's Well

The Hang Li Poh's Well is situated at Bukit Cina.

The Well of Hang Li Po, which is next to the Sam Po Kong Temple in the nearby town of Malacca, was constructed by Hang Li Po's followers for her personal use but was also an important source of water for much of the town. It was also a prime target for opposition forces, which either poisoned it or tried to hold it for their own use. It was reputed never to have dried up even during droughts. Today, the well has acquired the reputation of a wishing well and it is believed that anyone who throws a coin into the well will return to Malacca.
Bukit Cina and two adjoining hills today form a Chinese graveyard covering over 250,000 square metres. With over 12,000 graves, some of which date to the Ming Dynasty, it is said to be the largest Chinese graveyard outside China.

It's actually nothing to see there, but just visit for fun.

We walked along this "Street Of Harmony", there's is this Cheng Hoon Teng Temple.

Prayer rituals you will observe in the temple have been practised in Malacca since the Chinese first settled here. Constucted in 1673, Cheng Hoon Teng, or Green Cloudes Temples, is the oldest functioning temple in the country. Dedicated to Kwan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy, it is devoted equally to the three doctrines - Taoism, Confucianism and Chinese-Buddhism. Every aspect of the temple tells a story about the Chinese in Malacca, their lives, their beliefs and their concerns.

Kampung Kling Mosque is located at the junction between Jalan Lekiu and Jalan Tukang Emas. That's the oldest mosque in Malacca

Along the road, there are Kampung Kling Mosque, Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, and Sri Poyatha Venayaga Moorthi Temple, this is almost like our Penang Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling, three temple from three different religious, and it is also best known as "street of harmony"

The Baba-Nyonya Heritage Meseum is located at Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock, it showcases the local history of ethnic Chinese-Malays called Baba-Nyonya in Malacca. Baba-Nyonya also known as the "PERANAKAN". This Heritage Museum is owned by a Chan family during the old time, they were the richest people in Malacca.

Babas (masculine) and Nyonyas are offsprings of inter-racial marriages, generally between a Chinese male and a native non-Muslim female. Also called Peranakan or Straits Chinese, they became a culturally distinct community, from which a unique range of attire, customs, architecture, language and cuisine evolved. The featured museum, a private enterprise housed in a beautifully restored ancestral home dating back to mid 19th century, is a rare treasure which succinctly captures the aura of an interesting era. At the heart of its charm is an archive of costumes and knick-knacks that once served the Peranakan lifestyle.

The Second Day In Malacca (Jonker Street Morning Walk)

Yeah, it's the second day we been here. We woke pretty early, and get ready to explore the town XD
First of all, we need to cure our stomach first. Had our morning breakfast and the Baba House Hotel Cafe. They served us only "two pieces of bread and eggs" zzzzz.......... That's not enough, but we don't expect much though.

After the River Cruise ,we went for night shooting at this historical places. All the shops closed pretty early and the road was really silent. Seriously, it feels totally different when it's at night.

An interesting and unique tour which visitors must not miss while you are in Malacca, is the Malacca River Cruise!

Before the cruise, we went to Dataran Pahlawan in Malacca, it can be said as the biggest mall in Malacca. The mall looks extremely huge but it turns us down. There's nothing much to shop in there or maybe I should say, we expect too much from it.

We then drove back to the riverside and go for the river cruise, it costs RM10 per person. Honestly, this is another must-go place in Malacca. During that 40mins cruise, you will get to see all the antique yet unique building around the river. Some were left by the Dutch where some were left by the Chinese.

We were on the boats with 20plus Hong Kong people and they were talking so damn loud. And one funny thing is they have never seen Monitar Lizard before. They got so damn excited when their tour guide direct them to the tree and asked them to see this huge monitor lizard.

We have been starving for like 5hours plus for the whole journey, all the way from Penang to Malacca, we only ate McD breakfast. After you unpacked our stuff at the hotel, we went hunt for food. We have heard about the most famous Chicken Rice Ball in Malacca, hence that will be our lunch for sure.

We came into this shop, forgotten the name of the shop, but it was really packed, sat down and they took our order. At first the person asked us how many Chicken Rice Ball do we want, and we do not know how is the size so we ordered 10 balls. But then, I realised it is actually not enough to fill my big tummy and I ate about 15 balls where where darling ate about 6 to 7 balls only. In fact, it's not really special in the sense of the taste, it has no difference with the normal Chicken Rice. And it costs 30cents each balls.

After unpacking our stuff, we begin our Malacca tour. Our first destination will be Jonker Street. But before that, I'm gonna talk about Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock. Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock was formally known as "Heeren Street" and was home to Malacca's richest Chinese merchants

Baba House Hotel and Puri Hotel are located at Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock as well. From the hotel, it's only 5mins of walking distance to Jonker Street, and other places of attraction, so it is kinda convenient. ( rather than staying at Pergoda hotel ).

Arrival destination at The Baba House Hotel. I have previously posted about it
to make it sounds more interesting, I hereby attached some of the photos taken inside the Baba House Hotel. To me, it was great experience staying here, but for the next time, we are going to give a try at the Puri Hotel, they both are boutique hotels.

It was actually a last minute plan to visit to Malacca, all thanks to the Malay Buka Puasa and I have three days holidays on that weeks, so we started with all our plans and we worked it together.

Left our little Penang Island at approximately 7pm, started our 474km journey, driving all the way from Penang to Malacca. At first we wanted to stop by at Ipoh to have our dimsum there but the sun rises very fast and it makes us can't wait to be in Malacca.

So see the road sign, we are almost reaching. We have just passed by KL and heading towards Negeri Sembilan.

About 2hours later, we have finally arrived to Malacca, we got so excited when we saw the "Selamat Datang To Melaka" sign. Although the feeling is strange when you come to the city that you have never been, we know that this is gonna be fun for the following few days as we will never get bored with this wonderful city.

The first thing when we arrived there is to check in our hotel, The Baba House Hotel. Thanks to our Garmin GPS that lead us all the way from Penang to Malacca and accompanying us for the that 3days.

Had an awesome Three days Two Nights with my love one and friends in Malacca.

First of all, I would like to talk about the place we stayed during our visit to Malacca. Before that, I have made many research through online and forum about places to stay in Malacca. It was actually a last minute plan to pay the visit to Malacca, I haven't been there for like 10 years after my primary school.

So, I visited to the website of Malacca , found few hotels which recommended by them. Besides, I also got few recommendations from the forum. Darl told me about the Puri Hotel too, that she wanted to stay there badly. At first, she refused to stay in Baba House because she was afraid of the photos which shown and the environment there during this Hungry ghost month. But after checking on those dates that we're going to stay, we ended up chose The Baba House Hotel due to The Puri Hotel was fully booked and Baba House is the only one available along the Jonker Street.

The Baba House Hotel is situated at the center of the town and it's only 5mins away from Jonker Street. I checked on the reviews on tripadvisor.com and most of the people rated high on Baba House. The building is a historical mansion, and very Baba Nyonya style.

This is how it actually looks like when we first arrived there. Darl started to feel scared as it looks very old and very creepy. This is also how it actually looks like when I saw the pictures from the website, so we know that we came into the right place. The only thing that trigger us is the place is indeed very creepy. It looks more to a 60's building than a Hotel.

But things changed when we came to the Hotel Lobby, it's not a 4 or 5stars hotel, but it can be considered as a budget hotel and suitable for backpackers and couple like us where we don't have to pay much for our accommodation.

Chai Leng Park LOK LOK

Thursday, the 5th of August

Me and darl were actually on a roadtrip to Sg Petani, and on the way, I called Eric for the nice places to visit. We first arrived at Village Mall and I expect it to be big, who knows out of my expectation it's just like the size of GAMA. Down!

SInce there's nothing there, we then head to Central Square and wanted to catch a movie, this is even down. There is a GSC over there and we thought that it would be better who knows it turns to be disappointment. We touched down there about 4.40pm and the last airbender movie showtimes was 4.30pm, and, that is the last movie showtime of the day. So the ticket purchasing counter is CLOSED. WTF! It's pathetic staying in KEDAH!

We made our move to Sunway Carnival Mall and watched it there, feeling so much better coming back to Penang. After our movie, we went FOOD HUNTING. Darl told me there's LOK LOK in Chai Leng Park which is very famous. We turned many times around Chai Leng Park until we found that "disc tree" ( tree which hang with so many discs).

It was fun though XD

Padang Besar @ Perlis

Yup, as title shown, we went to Padang Besar on Monday, with few of my course mate and my ex room mate. Actually it's not really far from our uni, it just took less than around 40 mins to reach there.

We arrived there at about 11am, we were supposed to go to the Bazaar but we were lost and nearly went in the wrong way to Hatyai.

The Bazaar had nothing. Those clothes or bags that sold there were expensive, but one of my coursemate, Kar Choon wanted to buy bear there for his sis for the convo. It was cheap though for one huge size bear.

Then, we head to the Bazaar market for the Dry food. Bought a lot of tomyam noodles back. Per box for 30 packets of tomyam noodles only selling RM17.

After that, on our way back, we stopped our car on the roadside and took some photos.

Went to Jitra with my gang and we later headed to Kampung Siam, I have heard of this place very long ago. It is located at somewhere in Jitra, the direction I wasn't very sure. We found this interesting Thai Temple over there, this is antique.

We had our dinner at the small restaurant which is next to it, the food there was just normal but we enjoyed the environment a lot.

We have witnessed an accident when I was driving along the North South Expressway, during the journey back to the forest university.

That lorry crashed on a Kancil and from far we saw the driver was terribly hurt but I guess there wasn't anyone sacrificed in that accident. I really can't figure out how the lorry driver drives his lorry and it can be turned into this terrible bad position.

Yes, Vuvuzela, the most irritating thing when we watch World Cup. Vuvuzela, also known as stadium horn, is the official instrument which used in South Africa World Cup.

Got this as souvenir from my uncle who just came back from South Africa. He went for his business trip and got the chance to watch the match between Brazil & Netherlands on the quarter final at Mandela Stadium.

Unexpectedly, Uruguay is qualified into the World Cup Semi-Final after 40years of waiting. It's quite lucky for Uruguay that their opponents were not strong enough to beat their ass. In addition, during the match with Ghana, Ghana was presented a penalty on the last min of the extra time but the luck was on Uruguay side.

Anyway, Forlan was awesome, the former Manchester United player.

If there is no bribe on the match, Holland would definitely enter the World Cup Final. Anyway, Uruguay is not easy to handle also, lucky god always on their side.

The most interesting match on the Wednesday night, Germany against Spain, the winner will have the higher chance to win the World Cup. I predict Germany will win, but I still support Spain.

Brasil is out beaten by Holland, everyone was expecting Brasil to win but unexpectedly, they played damn well in the first 10mins but the excitement doesn't last long after Robinho goal on the 10mins.

So Holland is in Semi-Final, and I believe they might enter the Final because Ghana or Uruguay wont be giving much trouble to them.

and I would say all the STAR PLAYERS ARE USELESS (Messi the exception). C.Ronaldo, Rooney, Kaka, Torres, Henry and much more, they were just like dead fish on the matches they played. Many people put high hopes on them eventually they disappoint everyone.

It is happy to see France & Italy got kicked out in the 32 round. As the Champion of the previous World Cup, Italy cant even manage to qualify to the next round, how shameful it is. Besides, there is so many Star players in France yet, France can't win a match in the Group.

In other hand, Ghana, Slovakia, Uruguay, Chile all these "just so so" team played very well in their group and managed to qualify to the next round. Although if they have lost in the next round, they have brought pride to their country.

And England, they were too self-centered, and their team spirit is weak. As you can see, they were just lucky o be qualified into the next round after a small win towards Slovenia, otherwise they wouldn't be that lucky to reach Round 16. Anyway, their journey has ended here after a big goal lost to Germany with 1-4.
England deserved the lost.

Chin Swee Caves Temple, Genting

After we checked out and left the hotel, I suggested to pay a visit to this CHIN SWEE Caves Temple, it is just a few miles away from the top. When we were out from the hotel carpark, the whole Genting was conjested, I guess it must be due to Public Holiday, and the Outdoor Theme Park was people mountain people sea.

Woke up quite early the next day morning, me & darl did not follow my dad for the buffet breakfast cause we have a complimentary ticket for the K-Lunch at 12noon. So we spent our few hours waiting time in First World Plaza again.

Last Saturday, we depart on 6am, arrived there at approximately 12pm.
Checked in the hotel, wanted to go for outdoor theme park who knows raining. Lepak around the First World Plaza until 2pm the rain stopped, then only we entered the outdoor. Rain keeps falling on that day, that's why we had not much time to play at the outdoor theme park

The pirate ship, I didn't know camera cannot be used during the ride and the personnel shouted at me very loud, so damn embarrass.

We stayed there until around 8pm where everyone's about to leave and we went back to First World Plaza to have our dinner. Me & darl were rushing for our 9pm show - The Dazzle.

Dazzle was great I would say, but certain part really bored me, and I fall asleep for like 15mins. Maybe that's also because of spending too much energy in the afternoon at the Outdoor Theme Park and makes me really exhausted. Anyway, I love the show very much, would watch it again if I've got another complimentary ticket. haha

I totally fall in love with China

Catch "the Karate Kid" two days ago.

No doubt, personally i think that the Karate Kid is indeed the best movie I watched this year. The story line was totally awesome and they chose the best background for the movie, which is China. Talking about a America black boy followed his mum who is transferred to China and begins their new life there. Staying in a totally different environment and how the place changed his life.

This movie has shown us the culture in China and the personality of China people, besides that, there is also some international issue like racism which always happen in most of the countries. Anyway, I totally fall in love with the story line and the culture in China, although some were bad. I have went to China several times, and through this movie, it gives me a very deep feeling where what I always feel when I was in China. If I've got the chance, I would love to stay there for a period.

After all, one thing that I'm confusing. Since this movie is talking about our Chinese Kungfu, why does it name "the karate kid" instead of the "The Kungfu Kid" ? or some other better names. I thought this would sound better and related to the story.

That's really quick, I cashed out my earning last month and they have already bank in the money to my Public Bank account.
this RM50 was accumulated hardly from year 2008 till now.

Anyway, was away to Genting for two days, didn't get the chance to catch the match between England Vs. USA. It was a draw and really disappoints me, expect that England might score like 2-1 who knows the Goalkeeper made a very silly mistake after watching the highlight.

That was an awesome experience, where it's hard to have the opportunity to get into this Hot Air Balloon. I know there was once in KL and now in Alor Setar but seriously the queue was long, although there was something happened and many of them refund for their tickets(how silly are they, I mean you have queued for almost 2hours and gave up at last).

Anyhow, the Balloon did not rise up high, that was just few metres away from the ground where I think it should be higher.

Too bad I do not have the skills in taking night shots, otherwise it would be perfect for the night. I saw some of the photos from others for the daytime, that was great compared to mine. mine is totally lousy.

Kedah International Hot Air Balloon Festival 2010

Yes, we went for that thingy. Saw darling posted that on her fb few days earlier, so I started to plan for it. We began our journey at 11am, from Penang drove all the way back to Alor Setar. I felt like I'm becoming a Kedah people ever since I travel to Kedah everyweek, it is indeed ULU. We arrived the city at 12.30pm, spent 1.5hours driving and we came to this place called Taman Jubli Emas, 15mins away from the central city.

The weather was freeeaking damn hot, and cars are not allowed to enter the exhibition area. We parked our car at the roadside and walked for about 10mins to the field. Who knows, the organizer told us that the tickets selling counter will only be opened at 5.30pm, it was like 5hours more.

Got back to our car and I brought darling to the city, exploring Alor Setar while waiting the time to pass.

We went to two different malls where I have forgotten their names. We drove back to the place at 4pm, we were afraid that the queue might be long and we don't get the tickets if we back later.

We stopped at the roadside to capture this building - the Alor Setar Tower

Aiks we both were waiting 2hours for the ticketing and waited another 3hours to get the ride, it's a frustrating story. It was supposed to start on 5.30pm but the event organizer dragged it until 8pm due to the unstable weather.

Finally, we've got the ticekts!

yeah 4 days have passed another 4 more days left. Tomorrow we'll be having our essay writing exam.
Again, as usual, the hypnotist mumbles in the class and trying to make all of us sleep.

these two fellas are my group member, Firdaus and Ruben. Others busy sleeping while the both busy copying the exercise.

Argh God! rescue me, get me out from this ulu place. I am freaking bored inside this smelly room!

Argh, I miss home badly

Another boring day today, morning was sucks, slept in the class with Ruben for about 2hours. We were more energetic after our lunch as we did not sleep anymore. The old lady gave us an essay to write and the class spent 1hours plus just for that 300 words essay..

and now, I'm surfing the net with a sucking connection. The connection is terribly bad, it's hard for me to load a page, and even my facebook, I can't load any pictures there. Everything goes blank. god damn, forest memang forest!
